Chelsea's major signing of the season has come through France international Florent Malouda. The left sided midfielder has been in the news the past few weeks when Chelsea's interest was evident. Now it is confirmed that he has put pen to paper for a deal at Stamford bridge.
Now being a Real Madrid fan does this open up the chances of Robben leaving even more? Well probably yes, with Falouda a Left sided midfielder and Joe Cole who also plays left sided, Chelsea would rather look to cash in on Robben.

Robben is one of the most underrated players i think.Hes brilliant on the wing, being a liverpool and EPL fan id be glad to see him leave but at the sametime would miss him in the league.
Before i start, let me remind you that iam a hardcore Chelsea fan.
I agree that Robben is a good player...he can change the dimension of the game single handed. He was a huge success at Chelsea during 2005-06 season. But, looking at 2006-07 season, he was a huge disappointment. He is just 23, and surprisingly injury prone. And whenever he has an injury, it carries on for 4-6 weeks..sometimes even months. We, at Stamford Bridge hasn't heard of less than 4 week injury lay off for Robben. The point iam trying to get is....Real Madrid shouldn't have too much expectation on his performance incase they buy him...they should always have another winger whenever Robben is injured (which is most of the time).
I don't think Chelsea fans would miss him. We would be happy if we get a good rate for him and buy Daniel Alves for that cash
yeah injury has been a consistent problem with him if he gets over that i think he is a great winger
Well another point to bring up is i dont think they should miss schevchenkov or ballack either if that is the case. Thanks to Czech and Terry who are brilliant else the blues have models (Lampard with his gelled hair and pathetic football).Another player that i admire is Wright Phillips and how can we forget Mr Mouriniho who holds Abrahamovic and the whole board hostage if he doesnt get his way.
Wow Liverpool V Chelsea already??
Well i agree with Nik on the fact that Robben was injured last year, but i beg to disagree that it might be the case always. Well though injuries keep the player from getting to his peak, but the fact that Chelsea is trying depserately to keep Robben speaks of his talent. With Real, seemingly having tabled the bid today, they need a winger who can play in both flanks and Robben is a good deal.
If you look at players who overcame major injuries Van Nistelrooy will top the list, i dont think Man U or Real would share Nik's thought on injury prone players.
Also if Chelsea need to buy Dani Alaves i dont think they need the money from the Robben Sale. I think they dont have any plans for buying Dani in the first place.
Well Real would be only hoping that Robben does not turn out to be another Woodgate. But the good part is that the bid now for Robben is at 13.5M not bad a risk......
Yeah the reds vs the blues on who is ur money on.Ull never walk aloneeeeeeeeeeeeee
