Transfers Galore...

The one major signing that Liverpool and their fans were hoping for years has finally happened.....

Torres to Liverpool

Athletico Madrid have finally given in to the huge offer for their prized asset and captain and have agreed a record deal with Liverpool for their spanish international striker Fernando Torres. The deal is somewhere in between 26.5M-32M + Luis Garcia who will join Atletico and is valued at close to 4M. This is a record deal for Liverpool. The former Barca man Garcia had a decent spell under Benitez and will be looking forward to getting back to Spain. Torres is supposedly signing a 6 year deal with a Whooping 90,000/week contract. Much to the joy of Liverpool fans, this a deal that should stand up to its name.

Forlan to Athletico

Athletico Madrid was quick to finalize who comes in to fill the spot left by Torres. It is none other than Villareal striker Diego Forlan. The Uruguay international and highly rated former Man Utd man would cost somewhere close to 21M. Forlan will join Garcia as new strike partners at Athletico who is a part deal with Torres.

Arsenal Sign Striker

The responsibility of filling in the big hole left by Henry has fallen on Eduardo Da Silva. He is Brazilan born but moved to Croatia (correction thanks to one of my Croatian friends) when he was 15 and now plays for Dinamo Zagreb... Arsenal is expected to have paid Dinamo 8M for his services.

I am not sure Wenger can save Arsenal by such transfers.... What they need is a Striker who has proved his worth around the world.... Any common man does not have a clue of how good this guy is.

Man Utd land owen Hargreaves-Finally

After coaxing Bayern for 12 months to sell the England international Man Utd have been successful finally to get a nod from the Germans. He is joining Man Utd for a 17M price tag. Hargreaves will enjoy being the next Roy Keane in controlling play in the midfield. Though Paul Scholes fares well in an attacking role, his defensive tackles are absolutely poor.He will join Portuguese winger Nene and Brazilian international midfielder Anderson who joined Man U earlier from Porto. Anderson got his first major cap for Brazil in the Copa America and he failed to impress....

Geremi joins Newcastle

Geremi has joined Newcastle Utd from Chelsea under hope of getting some regular football under Big Sam. From years of start stop career at Chelsea he would definitely need it. Newcastle has made a smart free transfer. Geremi always has been an overrated player and i have failed to understand what his natural position is as to if it is Right Back or Right Midfield, because he looks out of place in both.

Its prepostorous to think that Eduardo can replace henry, henry was a finisher who made those small nicks and touches in the box that made the difference. If i was Arsene and had the money id try to target somee of the young Argentinians.Van the man is similar to Henry in a lot of ways.

As for Torres coming to liverpool am not sure spanish players are the key other than the fact that they can converse with Benitez easier.I would have loved to see them go for german players or scandanavian players cos thats is the kind of game that they play.

Thats ferguson a fox made the best transfer so far i think after all the issues with the germans.

A player id like to see and miss most is one of the caliber of good old Roy Keane. It would be interesting to watch the progress of Sunderland this season,am sure there will be a few touchline fights considering the fact that Keano is their manager

Following the Spanish league closely for years i have high regard for Torres. He has been used to playing the lone striker role for years at Athletico and more importantly he is an out right striker. Good movement, good in the air. Yes they can converse well with Benitez for sure but i think if the proper service is there for him, he can be successful. It has to be seen if he will turn out to be another Morientes and it will be a big financial disaster for Liverpool.

Yes i agree to your point of Keane the manager at Sunderland. The Man U V Sunderland games would especially be a treat to watch with Premiership Managers especially known for their sparring before games.....

Yes,the Morientes saga would surely be at the back of their minds.I have seen much of Torres as i do not watch all the games just the biggies.I think it is a very interesting league as here Madrid or Barcelona can be beaten by teams lower in the ranking and this rarely happen in the English game except for when middlesbourough play Manu

First of all....Spartan...I am sure that you have never seen Eduardo play. And by the way, why target Argentinians when there are better talents from other countries. Do you even know what Da Silva's playing style is?
